Mum hits back at backlash for how she juggles work and family

Every mum out there has been hit with mum guilt at least once when it comes to the juggle of family and career.
We all want to be the mum who does it all. That is, work, financially contribute to the family, spend time with their kids, squeeze in a little bit of time for ourselves and our relationship and not burn out – which is easier said than done.
Mum-of-three Hannah, who works from home, has proven it doesn’t matter what you do, because you just cannot win, and explained why in a now-viral TikTok.
Watch the video above.
“I’m a work-from-home mum of three with no child care and apparently that pisses the internet off,” the video started.
Hannah, 29, explained she recently shared a video of a day in her life as a work-from-home mum with three kids.

While she admitted she got more positive than negative comments, it made her laugh because “it just proves to me that women cannot win.”
“If you’re a stay-at-home mum, you’re just a lazy mooch,” she continued.

“But obviously, if you choose to be a working mum, you’re terrible because you’re letting somebody else raise your children. Oh my god.
“Honestly, I kind of thought being a work-from-home mum with my kids with me all day kind of was a sweet spot, right? Like, it’s a lot of work on me. It takes a toll on me, but I’m willing to make that sacrifice so that I can do the best for my family. Wrong. Nope.”
Turns out the internet has a lot of feelings about that situation to make the most out of home and work. Basically, if you’re a work-from-home parent, you “suck at being an employee and a mum.”
“So if you’re feeling guilty about whatever your circumstances are, literally just don’t because no matter what you do, you just can’t win,” she finished the video.

“Honestly, it’s a freeing perspective and you should try it!”
The video hit close to home with a lot of mums who are in a similar situation and praised Hannah for sharing the reality of her life.
“WFH mom is the absolute hardest spot I’ve ever been in. I was constantly stressed trying to balance it all. Childcare was my solution, but I miss my kids all day. You’re doing amazing,” one commented.
Another replied, “I’m a WFM/SAHM of 3 kids under 3, everything you said is correct!! We can’t afford childcare so it’s my only option yet ppl think I’m trying to prove ‘I can do it all’ when in reality I can’t spend $1k.”
“Work from home mom here that watches her toddler. We are just trying to survive. I feel ya,” added another mum.
One mum wrote, “Working from home WHILE raising your kids is the hardest of both worlds. You can’t win for some people. I’m so impressed by every mother who does this. You’re doing great mama.”
